Guildhall is a town in and the shire town〔(Title 24, Part I, Chapter 1, §6 ), Vermont Statutes. Accessed 2007-11-01.〕 (county seat)〔(【引用サイトリンク】accessdate=2011-06-07 )〕 of Essex County, Vermont, United States. The population was 268 at the 2000 census. According to a large sign in the town center, it is the only town in the world so named. The name derives from a meeting house on the square called the Guildhall. Guildhall is part of the Berlin, NH–VT Micropolitan Statistical Area. ==Geography== According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 32.7 square miles (84.7 km2), all land.
